Currently, research activities are mainly oriented on social farming, rural development, quality policy, education and training in agricultural policy.
Assistant Professor Andrea Armani (AA) - PhD and specialized in “animal origin food inspection”. He teaches in the Long cycle course (5 years) in Veterinary Medicine and in the short cycle course (2 years) in Biosafety and Food Quality. His research activity focuses on biotechnology applied to food inspection and, in particular, on the development of DNA based methods for the identification of fish species. Moreover, he works in sanitary and hygienic concerns related to the fish compart. He is currently Responsible of the FishLab and Responsible for the didactic activity of the Sino-Italian Centre for Food Safety, Cooperation between Tuscany Region and Guangxi Province, within the national program of cultural exchanges with emerging Countries (China).
